    Amy Dover

    Amy Dover, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving adolescents, couples, and families in Alabama and Florida. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings to include residential, group, in-home, and school-based. With over 20 years of experience across multiple states, Amy specializes in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, relational challenges, trauma, and life transitions.

    Amy integrates evidence-based therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Parts Work, and elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Attachment Theory. As a Christian counselor, she thoughtfully incorporates faith and spiritual values into therapy when desired, helping clients use their beliefs as a source of strength, hope, and guidance.

    In addition to her clinical work, Amy is a practice consultant with Wise Practice Consulting, supporting Christian private practice owners across the country to grow and strengthen their therapy practices. She has spoken at the Wise Practice Summit, guest-hosted episodes of the Wise Practice Podcast, and appeared on podcasts including Therapy For Your Money, Compassionate Climb, The Practice of Therapy, and The Private Practice Elevation Podcast.

    Amy is married to Dr. Jim Dover, a U.S. Army veteran, and they have two sons. Outside of her practice, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.
